At Hackett Hill Park on East Market Street a number of festival activities and events runs from 1 to 6 p.m. on Oct. 1.

They include vendors, food boths, family play areas, displays, carnival rides, pony rides and Girl Scout crafts.

While Amerscot Highland Pipes & Drums, Dance Works Too and Rosemary Rye Band are the stage acts.

Organized by the town recreation department for the Hyde Park Town Wide Fall Fest.

On March 21, Broe said, "I sympathize with the anxiety that people are feeling. They should just live their lives as they normally do. Go about daily routines. That's all I can say."

This sparked criticism from some members of the community who a killer among them in the light of the potentially still questioned.

Broe said in a statement Thursday that a press conference announcing the arrest of Shand asked about, "I figured that question would come. I was the one that made that statement, so I'll be one to address it."

Broe said, "For me to get into, at this juncture, why I made that statement would be to divulge information in this case that I'm not yet comfortable doing. I realize that that's been an issue of some criticism toward me and I accept that. … I stand by what I said."

Hyde Park Supervisor Tom Martino told the Journal Thursday afternoon he watched the press conference online.

He said, "Naturally, I'm very happy that an arrest has been made. I commend all the police agencies involved for handling it in the manner they did. I think they did an outstanding job".

When he asked on March 21, Broe said that people should go about their normal life when thought about, he said the chief is a law enforcement professional.

Martino said, "If Charlie Broe said something, I'm sure that he said it for just cause. I'm not qualified to comment on this because all the facts in this case have not come out".

He added, "I think that anyone outside law enforcement — they're really not qualified to make an assessment on what actually happened. Everything else is just pure speculation."

Rolling Stones's Ronnie Wood talking about the band’s 50th anniversary plans

Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood's 50th birthday, the band is talking about the plan and says that they hope to recreate the show, 1969 Hyde Park concert.

He appaer to meet with Keith Richards this week to discuss plans for it, speaking to the London Standard.

He said, “We’ll try to recapture the old camaraderie. I know Keith is fully supportive, as are the rest of the boys in the Stones. We’ll see what we can do as a unit. Playing Hyde Park would be fabulous.”

Wood did his radio show recently won two prestigious industry awards, he is himself a new house in London and enjoy being a gardener.

He said, “It has a beautiful landscaped garden which is like a controlled jungle and it just goes with my new house. I’m getting stuck in and doing a bit more than just weeding.”

He’s also been sober for over a year. He said, “I’m on my second year. I’m seeing things much clearer now and just trying to take it one day at a time. So far, so good. I don’t have any cravings. The war is over. I just surrender every day and take one day at a time. That’s all you can do.”

Arcade Fire performed biggest UK show at London's Hyde Park

Arcade Fire performed biggest UK show at London's Hyde Park on 30 June 2011, and the online audience has been giving their reaction.

Others thought the sound improved as the show went on. "First half was about 7/10, second half was a definite 10/10 if a little quiet," wrote Joe Pape. "'Month Of May' onwards was sublime."

A few fans hailed the performance and said they were genuinely blown away.

Lorena Fuentes said, "[They were] in a league of their own, beautiful music, emotive lyrics, genuinely loving what they do and just killing it on stage. I found myself being blown away and getting higher with each song."
